Let’s dive, from Start to Finish: The Customization Process with Me!
Virtual Consultation:
Let’s kick things off by connecting and getting to know each other. This is your opportunity to share your story, hopes, and dreams for your new piece. During this session, we’ll discuss your preferences, which typically lasts around 30 minutes. By the end, I’ll have gathered enough information to provide you with a quote within a few days.
Measurement Guidelines:
Once we’ve had our initial chat, I’ll send you instructions on how to take your measurements for the piece. If you’re in Calgary, you’re welcome to visit the salon where I can assist you with this process.
Invoice and Order Placement:
Following our consultation, I’ll send you an invoice for 50% of the total cost of your wig. This payment secures your order, and once received, I’ll proceed to place the order. Custom units typically take about 12-14 weeks to complete, although this timeframe is subject to change. Rest assured, I’ll keep you updated on the progress every step of the way.
Customization Phase:
When your piece arrives in my hands, I’ll begin the process of customizing it to your exact specifications. We’ll use photos to ensure we achieve the desired look, and I’ll always be transparent about what’s feasible and what’s not. Prior to your salon appointment, I’ll complete all color work. During your visit, we’ll tailor the cut and hairline to your liking, trim the lace, and style the piece. For clients located out of town, I’ll handle the cutting and coloring work before shipping it out.
Receiving Your Custom Piece:
You’ll receive your custom wig in a specially curated box, complete with a wig bag, brush, and sample products to take home. I love making the unboxing process fun for you, so if you need me to walk you through that, I would love to support you with putting it on.
Remember, wearing hair is a process and a journey. My biggest recommendation is to embrace it, even if you’re feeling nervous. Taking imperfect action is better than taking no action at all. The more you wear your piece, the more comfortable it will become.
